Elephant Festival Jaipur : ( Next Elephant Festival in Jaipur will take place on 17th March 2022  )    

Elephant Festival in Jaipur celebrate every year in Jaipur on the day of Festival of color known as Holi. This Elephant Festival in Jaipur takes place every year at Old stadium in Jaipur at Chaugan stadium originally planned for stadium.

 

The festival begins with an attractive procession of the majestic animals like elephants, camels lovingly painted and gorgeously decorated with glittering ornaments and embroidered velvets.  Elephants participate in this festival are all female elephants.
The mahouts (elephant keepers) take good care to decorate the elephants. The mahouts paint their elpehnats’ trunks, foreheads, and feet with floral motifs and adorning them from tusk to tail with interesting trinkets. These wearing like anklets and make music as the elephants walk.    

A gorgeous procession is recreated with vibratly decorated elephants, lancers on horses, chariots, camels, cannons and palanquins.

Desert Festival Jaisalmer ( Next Desert festival at Jaisalmer will take place from 14th February 2022 )      
               
Jaisalmer desert comes alive with colourful desert festival in the winter season i.e in the month of February. Entire thar desert has many colourful festivals. Some of the fairs and festivals are: Pushkar Fair, Desert festival, Elephant Festival and Camel festival. Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race at Alleeppy backwater   

Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race held every year in Kerala around the time of the Onam festival. Nehru Trophy Boat Race which began in 1952 on the occasion of the visit of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru to Alappuzha. It is now a major event held on the second saturday of August every year and features the gigantic snake-boats of Kerala, the Chundans-once the battleships of the Malayalee King of Yore.        

Pushkar fair at Pushkar ( This year Pushkar fair will take place from 01-08 November, 2022 )    
Pushkar fair is one of the most vibrant, colourful and famous festival of India. The Pushkar fais is one of the largest Cattle Fair in India and the only one of its kind in the entire world. During the fair, a lot of people from rural India flock to Pushkar, along with camel and cattle for several days of livestock trading, horse dealing, pilgrimage and religious festival.    

This small town, becomes a cultural phenomenon when colourfully dressed devotees, musicians, acrobats, folk dancers, traders, comedians, ‘sadhus’ and tourists reach here during Pushkar fair. According to Hindu chronology, it takes place in the month of Kartika (October or November) beginning on ‘ashtmi’ 8th day of Lunar Calendar and continues till full moon (‘Poornima’). The camel and cattle trading is at its peak during the first half of festival period. During the later half, religious activities dominate the scenario. Devotees take dips in the holy "Sarovar" lake.
