Day1 :

Arrival Delhi. Meet and greet at airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free to you. Night stay in Delhi.

Day2 :

Delhi sightseeing. Night stay in Delhi. ( Meal include - breakfast )

Day3 :

Delhi – Varanasi ( By flight ) Arrive Varanasi. Meet and greet service at Varanasi aiport and transfer to hotel. Later proceed for Varanasi city sightseeing. Evening visit Aarti on river Ganges. Night stay in Varanasi. ( Meal include - breakfast , lunch and dinner )

Day4 :

Morning boat ride on river Ganges to see the pilgrim life of Varanasi. Later drive to Bodhgaya. ( By air-conditioned chauffer driven car ) Approx. 05 hrs. and half drive. Visiting Sarnath. Night stay in Bodhgaya. ( Meal include - breakfast , lunch and dinner )

Day5 :

Bodhgaya sightseeing. Night stay in Bodhgaya. ( Meal include - breakfast , lunch and dinner )

Day6 :

Bodhgaya – Rajgir ( By air-conditioned chauffer driven car ) Approx. 03 hrs drive. Rajgir sightseeing. Night stay in Rajgir. ( Meal include - breakfast , lunch and dinner )

Day7 :

Rajgir - Kushinagar( By air-conditioned chauffer driven car ) Approx. 10 hrs drive. Enroute visiting Vaishali and Nalanda. Night stay in Kushinagar. ( Meal include - breakfast , lunch and dinner )

Day8 :

Kushinagar sightseeing and later drive to Lumbini ( By air-conditioned chauffer driven car ) Approx. 05 hrs drive. Night stay in Lumbini. ( Meal include - breakfast , lunch and dinner )

Day9 :

Lumbini sightseeing and later drive to Sravasti. ( By air-conditioned chauffer driven car ) Approx. 05 hrs drive. Night stay in Sravasti. ( Meal include - breakfast , lunch and dinner )

Day10 :

Sravasti - Lucknow. ( By air-conditioned chauffer driven car ) Approx. 05 hrs drive. Lucknow – Agra ( By fast air-conditioned train Dep. 15 :35 hrs. Arriv. 19:11 hrs. ) On arrival at Agra railway station meet and greet service then transfer to hotel in Agra. Night stay in Agra. ( Meal include - breakfast and lunch)

Day11 :

Agra sightseeing including world famous Tajmahal , Agra Fort and Fatehpur sikri. Evening board fast air-conditioned train to Delhi. Agra – Delhi ( By overnight train in air-conditioned chair car Dep. 20:40 hrs. Arrive. 22:30 hrs.) Agra :

World famous Taj Mahal, Agra fort, Sikandra, Fatehpur Sikri – deserted town of Mughal empire.

Varanasi :

Temples of Varanasi, Auranzabeb’s mosque, Benaras Hindu University- one of the biggest university of India, Boat ride on river Ganges, Evening Aarti ceremony on river Ganges.

Sarnath :

Sarnath located approx. 10 km. away from Varanasi is one of the main for Buddha received enlightenment ), Kushinagar ( where Lord Buddha died ) and Sarnath ( where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon ).

Sarnath is the famous Budhhist religion destination where lord Buddha deleiver his first sermon to his followers.

Main places to visit in Sarnath is

Dhamek Stupa : Most famous stupa to visit in Sarnath. It is built of a mixture of stone and bricks.

Chaukhandi Stupa : This stupa was built by Emperor Ashoka. The great king who took a great role and efforts to spread Buddhist religion all over in India and out of India.

Ashoka Pilar - It is carved out of stone . Ashoka Pilar height is 50m, This Ashoka Pilar symbolized Emperor Asoka’s visit to Sarnath .Ashoka Pillar is depicting four lions on the top in standing posture back to back and a chakra (wheel )popularly known as Ashoka Chakra at its bottom. This Ashoka pillar of Sarnath is the National emblem of India.

Archaeological Museum: This Archaeological Museum at Sarnath has a rich collection of Buddhist sculptures and artifacts excavated from Bddhist site. This museum also has the collection of Ashoka Pillar which is National emblem of India.

Deer park : Deer park in Bodhgaya is the place where where Lord Buddha preched his first sermon.

Bodhgaya :  Bodhgaya is one of the main Buddhist pilgrimage destinations India, located in Bihar. Here lord Buddha received enlightenment that inspired one of the world’s famous religion Buddhism. Main places to visit in Bodhgaya is Mahabohi temple – the main site of Bodhi tree under which lord Buddha received enlightenment. Nirnanjana river and Bodhi tree.

Rajgir : Rajgir is another important destination of Buddhist religion. In Rajgir lord Buddha spend 12 years of his life and he often often went to retreat at the Jivkamaravana monastery in a beautiful orchard.   Also Rajgir has another importance as first Buddhist council after the death of lord Buddha hosted here at the Saptaparni caves.

Nalanda : Nalanda was the popular largest residential university in the world. Scholars used to stay at this university during the course of their studies. This popular Nalanda university established by Gupta emperor at 5th century. Since the time of Buddha monks and bhikkus used to study here to learn and spread Dharma better way to the followers of Budhist religion.

Vaishali : Vaishali is another important place to visit as here lord Budhha visited many times of his life. Vaishali is the place where one of the eight great events occurred in Buddha’s life. Also Buddha performed some divine presentations of his spiritual power. The major significance for Vaishali is the fact that here Lord Buddha announced the imminence of his Mahaparinirvana.  Another important thing happened in Vaishali is female devotees allowed to join into Sangha.

Main places to visit here is Ashokan Pillar

This lion pilar built by emperor Ashoka. This pilar is made of single piece of Red sand stone.

Buddha stupa I – Here one eigth of Lord Budhhas’  sacred ashes enshrined here in a stone casket.

Buddha stupa II – Another container of Lord Budhhas’  sacred ashes found here during the excavation in 1958.

Shanti Stupa ( World peace Pagoda )– This was build by Buddha society.

Other place to visit is Coronation tank.

Kushinagar or Kushinara is the place where Lord Buddha also known as Shakyamuni entered Mahaparinirvana. Lord Buddha preached his last sermon here.

Major attractions of Kushinagar are Nirvana stupa – Lord Buddha’s remains deposted here.

Nirvana temple - over 6 meters long statue of reclining Buddha . It excavated at 1876. This statue represents the dying Buddha reclining on his right side. This statute built at fifth century AD.

Mathakuar Shrine – This shrine is made of black stone. You wil find the image of the Buddha in the bhumi sparsha mudra.

Other places of interest are Ramabhar Stupa , Japanese temple, Kushinagar Museum.

Lumbini :

 

Lumbini is the birth place of Lord Buddha. Lord Buddha born full moon day. His mother was queen Mayadevi and King Suddodhana of Sakyan Dynasty. This newly born Prince named Siddhartha who later known as lord Buddha.

Places to visit in Lumbini are

Maya Devi Temple - the place where she gave birth to the lord Buddha.

Ashoka Pillar – This Ashoka pillar has inscriptions describing the spot as the birthplace, ruins of ancient stupas and monasteries,

Pushkarni pond - Hee Queen Mayadevi took bath before giving birth.

Sravasti – Sravasti is also an important place to visit and strongly related to Buddhist religion. Lord Buddha performed here many miracles. In Sravasti he displayed a million fold manifestation of himself. He was seated on a lotus (with thousand petals), with fire and water radiating from His body.

Places to visit in Sravasti are

Ananda Bodhi Tree This tree is greatly known to the tourists for its religious importance. Lord Buddha meditated under this tree for a night. It is believed that the tree blesses devotees with good fortune who meditate under it.

Jetavana Monastery This monastery presented by a rich devotee to Lord Buddha and his pilgrims. Even today, it boasts of a number of sculptures built by Emperor Ashoka.
